The most common variant, Grade 50, offers a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi and a tensile strength of 65,000 psi, making it roughly 30% stronger than standard A36. This high strength-to-weight ratio allows engineers to use thinner, lighter profiles to achieve the same structural integrity, reducing both material and transportation costs.
